Wildlife Research Program

DFW's Wildlife Section overseas various federally and state funded research projects. Such research is conducted to gain the knowledge necessary of CNMI's terrestrial wildlife for sound management and conservation of their populations.

Avian Research

Mariana Avifauna Conservation (MAC) Project in cooperation with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Tropical Monitoring of Avian Productivity and Survivorship (TMAPS) in cooperation with the Institute for Bird Populations or IBP.
